CHAT AWARDS / IDEAS & GUIDES
60 group chat superlatives worth giving
A good superlative makes someone feel seen, not exposed. Choose a handful of these ideas and ask for one specific, shareable example per nomination. Six entries use statistics already available in Group Chat Awards; the rest need people who know the story. Quiet members deserve a place in the ceremony too.
Choose the right kind of award
The existing Group Chat Awards Beta is free. It works with a supported WhatsApp text export or one Telegram JSON chat. Statistics describe the selected year or whole imported file, not a complete history. These ideas do not add new automatic awards to the tool.
Ask everyone before processing their conversation and again before sharing a card or quote. Keep names anonymous unless participants choose otherwise. Chat files are processed in your browser; they are not uploaded. A card you send to a messaging app is shared with that app and its recipients.

The Collective Chapter
Celebrate the whole group with its parsed message total. System notices are excluded; more messages do not mean better friendship.
Available tool statisticConversation Contributor
Offer the most-active badge to the participant with the highest message count, if they want it. This measures volume only.
Available tool statisticMidnight Correspondent
Use the night-owl result for messages from 00:00 to 04:59 as printed in the export. Do not infer sleep habits.
Available tool statisticThe Group Signature
Reveal the most-used visible emoji as the group mascot. This is a shared count, not a per-person emoji prize.
Available tool statisticThe Daily Thread
Mark the longest run of calendar days containing a participant message. Present it as a group achievement, not a daily obligation.
Available tool statisticQuote Candidate of the File
Review the rule-selected line and ask its author before reading it. Length and available Telegram reactions guide selection; meaning is not judged.
Available tool statisticConversation Spark

Human nomination
Make it an awards night
- Invite everyone to opt in, suggest a category, or quietly skip an award. No explanation is required.
- Pick six to eight categories with different kinds of contribution. Do not give every prize to the most prolific sender.
- Collect one short nomination and one approved example. Never require a private screenshot as evidence.
- Allow shared winners. Read the example before the name, and give each person a chance to decline sharing.
- Send the finished card back only after everyone named has seen it. Keep any quote hidden unless its author agrees.
