Start with the exchange rules
Check the spending ceiling and whether digital gifts count. If each person must bring something to unwrap, fold a handwritten award inside an envelope. That version costs only what you spend on the paper.
Choose one contribution people welcome
Try “Last-Minute Lunch Rescuer” for someone who found a table for six, or “Meeting Link Librarian” for the teammate who posts the right link every Monday. Leave mistakes, deadlines and performance reviews out of it. Both examples are hand-written categories.
Write the card in two lines
“For the time six of us were lost in the lobby and you found the room. Next coffee is on me.” Put your own name on the back if the exchange reveals the giver. Let the recipient decide whether to read it aloud.
If you want an award from the chat
Try the sample in Group Chat Awards first. Only use a real work chat if you have permission from the participants and the workplace. Stick to a voluntary social thread. A message count can support a playful award without quoting anyone. Keep the export on your device.
